Hurray for Dollywood!!!

Dollywood is a local favorite, and unfortunately we had not been this summer.....until today! My Aunt Diane was camping near Dollywood this week, so she agreed to take on the challenge of going with us to the park. If you haven't been with us, you really should go. It's a true adventure. Breton always has to have one of the oversized maps, of which he buries his face in and then runs into all of the oncoming people. Bryson walks around a good portion of the time with his hands covering his ears because he doesn't like the loud train whistle. (the train goes through the park continually) And for the first time, we took Caroline. Overall, she did o.k., but she gets tired of riding in the stroller all day. Needless to say, it's an exciting time, and one that everyone should experience...at least once!

Remember when we went to the Reading Festival at World's Fair Park? (see previous post) Well, the Penguin Players performed the book Llama, Llama Red Pajama, which is one of Bryson's favorites, and we met the characters after the show.

Thank you Aunt Diane for being up for the challenge and for making another summer day FUN!

Lunch Time with Daddy

It is always a treat when we can go and have lunch with Beau downtown. Primarily, because the boys love to sit at his desk and play on the computer.

But on this day, we met him at his office and walked to the Riverfront Park. They have a "splash pad" which the boys loved. (Breton liked it the most!) But it made for a fun time, and the kids got to see their daddy.

.

Of course, Caroline slept through all the excitement!

What a great, fun, wet summer day!
