Is it the World's Fair?

On Saturday, we went to the Festival of Reading at World's Fair Park, that is hosted by our county's library system. And of course we had to take a ride up in the Sunsphere.

This year the featured author was Anna Dewdney, author of Llama, Llama Red Pajama. This is one of Bryson's absolute favorites!

The "Penguin Players" from Dollywood will be performing the book during Kids' Fest this summer, but they gave a "sneak peak" to the audience.

There are 2 follow-up books in the Llama, Llama series as well. Check them out if you haven't! We had a fun time at the festival.

All the cute girl clothes....

So, I find as I dress Caroline each day, I can't wait to get her picture in each outfit. Many of them have such special meaning to me because of who they are from. I am one of those "weirdos" that writes on the tag of each outfit who it is from, so that when she wears it (now or months from now), I will remember who gave it to her. That has always been important to me. And I love taking her picture, even if we are just staying home. Here are a few of the latest....

This is an outfit from my uncle, Don Duck. He is a John Deere fan, can't you tell???....

Remembering First Grade...

Well, 1st Grade has come and gone for Breton. I can't believe how this year just flew by. He had a great year and a wonderful teacher. Here's a picture from the first day and the last day.

This is Breton's teacher, Mrs. Lyle. What a patient woman! She is fantastic!

And here is Breton with his Principal, Ms. Lee. She does a great job at Amherst Elementary, and our community is lucky to have her.

Kindermusik Party

For the last year, Bryson has been taking music classes for pre-schoolers called "Kindermusik". He has loved it, and his teacher, Miss Cindy, is wonderful.

At the end of the year, all the classes and age groups gather to have a party. The whole family is invited to come eat pizza and snacks, and watch the different groups perform. Here are some pictures from it.

Baseball Comes To An End

After playing 4 games in 7 days (too many rainy Saturdays), our last ballgame was Monday, May 18. We had a celebration party afterwards, and the coaches handed out awards.

Breton got the "Team Spirit Award". His coaches said he was a "great encourager for all his teammates". Well, we always knew Breton had lots of SPIRIT, now... he is using it to help his friends!

What a wonderful way to end a great season! Go Mets!

Growing Like a Weed

I took Caroline to her 1 month check-up, and she weighed 9 lbs. 10 oz. and was 22 inches long. That's over 2 inches longer than when she was born. She is eating and sleeping great, and is really in tune to all the action going on around her.

Here is a picture from her 1 month check-up. This is our pediatrician, Dr. Alex Ruth.

First Grade Fun Day

Towards the end of school every year, each grade at Breton's school gets to have "Fun Day" where they play relay games and scream --- A LOT! Again this year, Beau and I helped with it, so I got to take pictures up close, rather than from the "parents' cheering section".

Even the 1st grade teachers become part of the relay. This year the relay teams had to dress their teachers in "Beachwear". Breton had the flip-flops!

G.P.S.

You may think G.P.S. stands for Global Positioning System, and it does.. but not tonight. Tonight, it stood for God's Plan of Salvation, and it was the title of the kids' musical at our church. Breton had several lines and even a couple of solos. He was awesome! I couldn't have been more proud. All the kids were fantastic, and have worked hard for months learning their songs and lines. Here's some pictures from tonight's performance, and when I learn how, I will download some of the video to it. Hopefully soon.....

Mother's Day, 2009

Today was one of the most meaningful days of the year. Not because I received some lavish present, (because I didn't) , but because today was the first Mother's Day with all 3 of my children. My family is complete. The 3 children I always dreamed of having, are here all together. What more could a mother ask for? I must be the luckiest mom in the world today. Thank you God for the 3 greatest blessings ever, and for a husband that loves and takes care of all of us!
